BEYOND NORTHERN IRAQ: mail2bni@yahoo.co.uk

Tuesday, March 25, 2003

A nice quiet day today with no sleeping on floors....just the thing I need to try to shake off the heavy cold I'm suffering from, and to catch up with some reading:
USA Today -- U.S. troops arrive in northern Iraq, but plan isn't to fight.
NY Times -- U.S. Opens Command in Northern Iraq
Guardian -- Bombing raids signal start of mountain offensive
Star Ledger -- Trembling earth heralds the second front
Newsday -- A Battle in Northern Iraq
CS Monitor -- Kurdish fighters dig in to battle Iraqi troops
The Times -- Kurds clap as coalition bombards enemy lines
The Times -- Unlikely comrades are eager to enter fray
