Yup... that's what we've been thinking, too.
It makes me quite ill to think about George II getting re-elected. Though, Kerry isn't a prize either. Get him in and then immediately work on getting him out... that's what I'm thinking.

"October Surprise"
Just as it was in 1980 when the Iranians did NOT release the US hostages until high noon on inauguration day as Reagan was being sworn in as President and Bush Sr as Vice President. An earlier release, say in October, might have helped President Carter. I wonder who brokered that deal?
