Thanks for posting Martine's articles Stu. Mad Taffy is right in his posting earlier, I think you could help Martine see some light in the tunnel, maybe you can visit her sometime? You are both people with a great drive to get back to the world your injuries forced you to leave.
After my own experience of having my one year old daughter diagnosed with a massive liver tumor earlier this year I am very aware that you don't know how you will handle such things till it happens to you. I think we all carry a lot of inner strength that for many is not tested fully.
Overcoming trauma is a human dimension that is just amazing to see in action. Of course I wouldn't wish my experiences on anyone as I am sure is true of you too Stu, but it really has helped me grow as a person and be more capable to understanding others' experiences.
