I've purposely not posted anything about the Wordgate row currently engulfing CBS News -- partly because it's all over the net already and partly because, whether the documents cited by CBS were real or fake, it's one of those stories that conspiracy-minded bloggers just can't get enough of.

Read Newsday's and the Washington Post's reports and CBS's defence if you're interested.

I clearly don't read the same blogs you do. It seems to me (no CNN, no BBC, no Fox, just Yahoo! News plus Guardian and Independent and BBC websites from time to time) that it's the mainstream media that is blowing this molehill into a frenzied mountain. If you're interested, here's one blogger who thinks the whole "forgery" issue is a clever and effective smokescreen. Personally, I couldn't care less: it's clear Bush has never done a decent day's work in his life; why should his Guard days be any different?

Your Paralympics postings look like they will be way more interesting, anyway. Keep them coming.
