Kevin Sites finally puts his side of the story over his film of a US marine apparently shooting an unarmed wounded Iraqi in an open letter to the soldiers of the 3rd Battalion, 1st Regiment.
The New York Times runs with his account.

Well, what story does this "side" really tell? The point that leapt off the page to me was that Kevin swallowed the Colonel's line about how "they" are the bad guys and "we" are the good guys. Three points: 1) this line is about as new as prostitution; b) this lady is probably just one out of 90% of the rest of the world who will not see the difference between this incident and the beheadings of hostages (especially coming after this and Abu Ghraib, etc., etc), and c) Chomsky gives the Colonel's line some historical perspective.
