Just saw your article on the BBC News website. Very interesting. I'm not entirely sure why, but prosthetic limbs have really interested me in the past year. I remember reading a new article on the website about a new way to attach a metal rod to the bone without the risk of infection (skin can grow onto the rod, like the way a deer's antlers work), then these could be used to mount prosthetics. Your new leg must have cost a fair bit, but I guess you can't really put a price on your own limb.
On a more related note, I guess this blog means your wife/partner has gone into labour, in which case I congratulate you and wish you and oyur family all the best!

Congratulations! Christiane, a reader from Germany. :-)
Do we get another update or what? Don't keep us in suspense.
